This book shows how to grow
towards each other in trust and sympathy. It shows how to achieve
inner serenity through practicing the art of meditation and positive
prayer. It explains how to go deep inside and get in touch with the
Living Spirit residing in each of us in the sacred space of Silence.
For it is in Silence that we will find that joyful peace we are all
in search for. Without making the connection with the Spirit Who
lives in the Silence of our beings, we can never establish peace;
not for ourselves and not for the world. Jesus said in John 3:5:
“I am telling you the truth that no one can enter the Kingdom of God
without being born of water and the Spirit. A person is born
physically of human parents, but is born spiritually of the Spirit.”
Without this awareness of our relationship with Spirit we cannot
grasp the law of oneness and therefore we will never be at peace,
neither with ourselves, nor with each other.
Is there hope for peace in today’s world, where
the noise of weapons suffocates the cries of the innocents, and
where guns have become toys for man? How can we dare dream of world
peace when money and power have become the major interests of most
governments? Is peace possible without war? Can we achieve security
and stability without weapons? Will justice prevail without
conflicts? Jesus said in the Bible (John 14-27) “Peace is what I
leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it
as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.”
Even so, we live in a world crippled by fear, tormented by violence,
and threatened by an uncontrolled nuclear weapon race. To pave the
road to world peace, we must first achieve inner peace by awakening
our inherent spiritual nature. Messages from Spirit, perceived in
the silence of meditation, are conveyed in this book. Words of hope
and comfort encourage humanity to stand up and create a better world
for all. This is a book for those tired of struggle and violence; it
is an inspiration for those yearning for inner peace and world
peace.

Lao-Tse, the Chinese philosopher of the 6th Century BCE said: |
- If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in home.
If there is to be peace in home,
There must be peace in the heart.
