Message 10: The Divine Promise
Now I implore you, don’t neglect
to go into that deep Silent Space inside yourself, because that is
Who you are. It is through meditation and positive prayers that we
can find our true Inner Beings. And this I tell you, only when we
all will slowly and gradually realize Who we really are, and only
when we can catch a glimpse of the real and only God, only then can
we start creating a magnificent world of peace and justice, of
happiness and joy.
It doesn’t have to be in a
distant future, it can happen in our days, because once we embark on
this journey, the Spirit living in all of us will come to our
rescue. Only then can we expect to see the Maitreya, or the second
coming of Christ, or Vishnu, or the Messiah. Until we have not
started the journey, we should not wait for another Avatar to come
to our rescue. I too, had waited for the Maitreya, or Christ or
Vishnu for a long time, because of all the promises in the
scriptures and because of my father's prophecies. But nothing
happened to radically change our world. And once, tired of all the
personal and worldly chaos, I cried out to the Lord: Why are you not
keeping your promise? Why are you not coming to rescue us? Why are
you hiding from us for such a long time? This answer came into my
consciousness:
“I have kept my
promise. I have come, but you cannot grasp this; because you don’t
see Me, you think I am not here. Have I not told you, I will come in
the clouds? Symbolically, this means I have entered your
consciousness. You will not find Me in the world, but you will find
Me inside yourself. This time I have come through all of you who
believe in Me. All of you who receive Me, I will have supper with
you. The time has come for the world to know, to realize, and to
celebrate its Oneness in its diversity. To see, to feel and to
respect the connectedness. This is a time of change, a difficult
time. Your world as you know it is falling apart. Did not I tell you
that I have come to divide? I will sift out old beliefs which are of
no more use for a new world. If you prefer to cling to old beliefs
you too will be torn apart, your old world will be falling apart. I
told you the seed has to burst open, before it can sprout a new
Life. But don’t be afraid, follow my guide, I am deep inside your
consciousness. Follow Me, trust Me, and I will guide you safely
through the storm."
The new age of Spirituality has
dawned upon us. Even amidst the chaos and distress of now, we can
see the first rays of a rising sun, because everywhere men and women
are being inspired. Spiritually inspired books, songs and even
movies are popping up in growing numbers. Everywhere, people are
recognizing the eternal truths and still more people are in search
for spiritual fulfillment. This is also why so many millions of
people demonstrated for peace.
Still for
many others, this message of peace might sound like an unrealistic
utopian dream and for them, God is still a Father in the distant
heavens, who will send the Messiah to make things right. Or many
others might think that God is not concerned with our business here
on earth and that survival is only for the fittest. But I tell you
this, maybe now we cannot imagine a future of full material
abundance for all and each one of us, where there will be no hunger
and poverty. Maybe now we cannot imagine a world where we will have
conquered all illness and will understand death. And maybe now it so
hard to imagine a world where there will be no more violence and
crime and where we will be living in everlasting peace, happiness
and joy. But in the same way that our ancestors could never imagine
our world of today, so are we today, we cannot imagine our bright
world of Light in the future. Our forefathers of the distant past
would be so amazed and proud of us if they could see how far we have
come in conquering and controlling our environment that we have even
dared to enter the heavens; the heavens that had filled them with
awe! Oh, they would be so proud of us! And in the same way, one day
we will be proud of who we will become in the future, though we
cannot imagine now that we will reach the heights of spiritual
heavens. In the same way that we are thankful to our ancestors to
push humans up from primitive awareness to mental awareness, our
children will be thankful to us for lifting humanity up to spiritual
awareness.
But how can we go on, when
everything seems so bleak? It is God’s promises throughout the ages
that keep us going. It is God’s whisperings in our souls that make
us stand up and try again. Each one of us is being inspired but not
everyone heeds the call. If there is one way you can heed God's
call, it is to fulfill your divine mission, the reason of you, being
here on this planet. How can you know your mission? Pray and ask
that it be shown to you, recognize it in that what makes you most
enthusiastic and that what lifts your spirit to dazzling heights.
Recognize your mission in that what makes you forget your hunger and
sleep. I know from my own experience that we are so caught up in
making a living, according to worldly standards, that we forget the
reason of our lives on earth; and in losing our purpose we
restlessly search for fulfillment and contentment in the world. In
chasing false dreams and desires, in order to quench an insatiable
thirst for the world's approval and praise, we lose sight of our
inherent talent. It is only in sharing our talents that we will find
the fulfillment we are all in search of. And in sharing our gifts we
are fulfilling our divine mission and our part of the play. |
