During
the first three months of this year, in the wake of the war with
Iraq, millions upon millions of people throughout the world
demonstrated for peace. In the United States alone, we could see
hundreds of thousands marching for peace. The huge number of people
on the streets, raising their voices against war – the largest, most
diverse peace protest since the Vietnam War - affirms that people
from every corner of the world are taking one firm stand against
war, against violence, against chaos, against politicians’ lies and
deceits, and against religious hypocrites. People everywhere are
tired of war and struggle and in desperate need for peace; inner
peace and world peace.
